[Dan Heng's video is answered with another— the general sits on his couch within the brightly colored walls of his trailer, robe draped over his shoulders rather than pulled tight. He's relaxed a lot, comfortable enough to be seen shirtless in his pajama bottoms.]
Dan Heng. Not to worry, I can sleep until noon on any other day.
[He starts off the video with a big yawn, but his attention is sharp, focusing on the pin held in Dan Heng's hand. He recognizes it instantly as one of the pins the Fox offered to skip trials.
The general's head tilts slightly.]
...Of course. You're welcome to my home as if it was your home.
[He slips the pin back into his pocket and stands up. He collects a travel cup from his cupboard and pours his coffee into it.
He adds a dash of honey and cream, closing the lid. Then in a blink a dragon holds the travel mug, securing the lid. He seems a lot more comfortable shifting now.]
Please open the window, I’m on the way. [He sips from the mug and spirals out of a little new addition, a trap door in the ceiling that shuts and locks behind him.]
[At least he's been long used to opening the window long before Folkmore, thanks to cycranes. At Dan Heng's behest, he gets up right away, cracking open the windows in his trailer. It's Cruel Summer, so it lets some of the heat in, but the mornings are fairly cool.
After peeking out, he decides to take it one step further, preparing his tea and then steps out of his trailer onto the small attached deck to take his spot in a comfortable chair to wait for him.]
[He arrives without fanfare. He’s kept his form smaller. All the better to have a flight and drink his coffee in peace.
As he descends to the deck, he studies Jing Yuan. How healed is that injury? He shrinks as he touches down and resumes his short haired form.
It feels right. It is ‘his’ face. He pulls out the chair and sits.] …I’ve met High Elder Bailu. I think she will be able to carry out her duties well. Now that she doesn’t have to worry about the preceptors.
